Bottomline Technologies – Olympic Logo Pitch

While contracting, I had the privilege to work for Bottomline Technologies, an American based global payments solutions company. It was in 2012 as everyone was gearing up for the 2012 Olympics here in the UK, that the company held a competition who could design the best logo for the fore front brand that Bottomline Technologies used to promote the sponsoring of Athletes taking part in the Olympics. Below you will see my ideas.

CMPX_simplicity (Complex simplicity) is a small independent photography company based in East London. I worked the main photographer Benjy Owusu-Daaku in designing the logo and company brand. I designed several similar ideas, surrounding a camera shape with a rich red letter C rotated to represent the central lens.

Below you will see the various versions I came up with before the final idea was chosen.

I am currently working for a company called Bottomline Techonologies as a second line technical support engineer . It is a little step away from the design industry but has some very good positives as this company are specialists within the payment solutions industry, plus it will benefit my skill set, knowledge and experience.

Paul Barette is the founder of Beta Fitness and an expert in metabolic boosting exercise – specialising in fat burning, obesity, and diabetes. Paul has worked in the industry for a number of years and graduated from The University Of Winchester in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science. Additionally he has continued to increase his portfolio of qualifications over the years to allow him to enhance his growing reputation as a class trainer at the top of his profession. Paul contacted me after seeing tabssportsconditioning.co.uk . He had a solid idea of what he wanted so we put a template together and I constructed his website for him.

This was an idea I pitched to Jasmine CL, a model from Watford, UK. She posted a bulletin on her blog for the public to see that she was looking for someone to design a simple but effective website. The design was accepted, among all others and so we are at the final stages of the design process.

Tabs Sports Conditioning is a one man sports training foundation based in Guildford. Tabs himself is a personal trainer, specialising in innovative training solutions and teaching safe exercise techniques. I met Tabs in 2009 when he was first starting his business strategy. The website is simple, but clean and contemporary. Tabs informed me of what type of website he was after so I showed him a Photoshop mock up along with some ideas of how the site will function and the next day he emailed me back stating that I hit the nail on the head!
